Mission

At Washington Ambulance Association, our mission is to advocate the highest quality patient care through ethical and sound business practices, advancing the interests of its members in important legislative, educational, regulatory and reimbursement issues.

history

The Washington Ambulance Association was founded in 1956 as a professional advocacy group for medical transportation providers in the State of Washington.

We provide a forum for non-fire based ground and air ambulance services to discuss issues, share information and work cooperatively to improve the delivery of prehospital care, transportation, and other services to our patients, the public, and our stakeholders. The Association designs and implements strategic initiatives to promote sustainable reimbursement for services provided through sponsorship and promotion of legislation via coordinated lobbying. We are working to improve representation with key stakeholders and organizations at the local, state, regional, and federal levels.

Goals

01.

Promoting high quality ambulance and other prehospital services at a reasonable cost to the public

02.

Encouraging cooperation among individuals, organizations, and authorities engaged in the provision of medical transportation or in related activities

03.

Encouraging improvement and standardization for personnel, equipment, and rules required in the provision of medical transportation
